Amino groups are ubiquitous in biomolecules, such as proteins and peptides, as ε-amino groups of lysines and N-terminal amino groups. Many natural and synthetic small molecules are amines, and oligonucleotides with amino groups can be prepared by solid phase synthesis.
Terminal alkyne may be introduced to biomolecules and other amine reactive compounds and materials via acylation with alkyne-NHS-reagents.
Azide labels can be chosen from the following list*:
FAM, HEX, JOE, TAMRA, biotin, BHQ quenchers, Cy3, Cy3.5, Cy5, Cy 5.5
*Other modifications not listed here may be provided as custom synthesis.
