Nucleoside Triphosphate 6-Alkyne-dUTP is a 2'-deoxyuridine triphosphate modified at the C-5 position of the pyrimidine ring. The modifying fragment contains the terminal acetylene group attached to the nitrogen-containing base through the 6-atom linker by a C–C triple bond.
6-Alkyne-dUTP is used for enzymatic incorporation of nucleosides with terminal acetylene groups into DNA. The obtained modified DNA can be further functionalized via click reaction with azide-functionalized label.
